At only 13 years old, a young karting prodigy, living in Beausset, is already impressing with her exceptional performances on the circuits. Her precocious talent and determination raise questions about her future potential as a Formula 1 champion. Who is this promising young driver and what path will take her to the heights of motor racing?

The beginning of a passion in karting

With her classmates from Raimu college in Bandol, the young driver recently visited the Paul Ricard circuit. “I am happy to be able to show my college classmates the environment in which I evolve and which fascinates me. Here, there are many things to see and discover, which we do not see when we are in the stands,” she said enthusiastically.
Daughter of an optician father and volunteer track commissioner since 2019 at the Castellet circuit, the teenager has always frequented these places with her father. One day, she tried karting and it was a revelation.

Promising debut in competition

“I liked it straight away, so I joined the French karting school and passed my bronze, silver and gold steering wheels, that was three years ago, on a 4-stroke. For a year, I pilot in the national category on a 2-stroke with a Rotax 125 engine, with the CKR team.”
Regionally, she rode for the Rhône-Alpes league, in Lyon and Valence. Despite the challenges of a first season, she finished 17th out of 25 drivers.

An unforgettable meeting with Charles Leclerc

Solène is a big fan of Formula 1, and his favorite driver is Charles Leclerc. “I met him last year, when I participated in the Jules-Bianchi 2023 marathon, with the CKR women’s team. I was able to have him sign my suit and my helmet, and as we came 3rd with my team, he was the one who gave us the trophy, it was great.”

Looking for sponsors for a promising future

The young driver is preparing to take part in the 2024 edition of the Jules-Bianchi Karting Marathon, scheduled for September 6 to 8. While focusing enthusiastically on his academic and professional future.
“At the start of the school year, I will be in 3rd grade, then I would like to become a professional driver, if my budget allows it. That’s why I’m currently looking for sponsors. I like speed and all the things to manage around it. If, due to lack of means, I really cannot continue behind the wheel later, I would become an auto mechanic, or enter Estaca, near Le Mans, to be an automobile engineer.”
Solène is a young local talent with incredible determination, who deserves a little help to see this magnificent dream finally come true.
