An atypical journey
Jacques Jorrot, born in 1992, began his career in karting at the age of 8, becoming vice-champion of France in 2008. However, his journey took a turning point when he launched into bobsleigh. He represented the French youth team during training in Albertville and discovered an unexpected passion for this winter sport which he greatly appreciated. But this experience is not enough for him.
Back to basics
After a few years of professional wandering, Jacques Jorrot returned to France and decided to reconnect with his first passion: karting. In 2020, he returned to Aunay-les-Bois, the circuit where he made his debut, and immersed himself once again in the world of motor sports. He ends up meeting Gilles Galliot, the owner of the circuit, who offers him the opportunity to take over the management of the establishment.
A new responsibility
In 2022, Jacques Jorrot becomes the director of the Ouest Karting circuit. He must juggle different roles, from administrative management to pilot supervision, while developing events to attract a wider audience. His knowledge of sports car allows him to bring innovative ideas to improve the visibility of the circuit.
Ambitions and plans for the future
Jacques Jorrot is not content with maintaining the Aunay-les-Bois circuit. He has long-term ambitions. With a project for oval circuits for American NASCAR car races, he hopes to diversify the site’s activities. At the same time, he plans to organize other events, such as international championships, to raise the circuit on the world stage.
